Introduction:

Rubidium chloride is an alkali metal halide with the chemical formula RbCl. It is a white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol. It is stable in the air and exists in nature in the form of a complex salt, carnallite. In the gaseous state, RbCChemicalbookl is a diatomic molecule with a bond length of about 2.7868Å. In the cubic crystal system, the bond length increases to 3.285Å, showing a high ion coordination number in the solid state. It is used as a reagent for microcrystallization analysis of perchloric acid and platinum, iridium, titanium, and zirconium.

Uses:

Analysis of sodium, iridium, titanium, zirconium and perchlorate; raw materials for preparing metallic rubidium by calcium reduction and preparing other rubidium salts and isotope separation. Mainly used for electrolytic preparation of metallic rubidium, and also used for aluminum brazing flux.
